1. Enrollment

Enrollment in the school is annual and takes place following payment of a membership fee of €20.

A deposit of at least 50% of the total cost of the course is required for enrollment and payment; the balance can be paid no later than the morning of the first day of the course.

 

Only if the user requests a letter of acceptance in order to obtain a visa for study purposes is advance payment of both the registration fee and the course fee required (see section 6 of these regulations).

 

  1. Discounts and promotions

The school offers a discount on the course fee for:

 

–    foreign citizens married to Italian citizens (10% discount);

–    foreign citizens of Italian origin (10% discount);

–    employees of embassies and international organizations, such as FAO, IFAD, WFP, Red Cross (10% discount);

This discount can be obtained by booking via email or WhatsApp.

 

  1. Payment

To formalize your registration, a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the course is required. The deposit must be paid by bank transfer by the date specified at the time of registration.

The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than the first day of the course. The following payment methods are accepted:

Bank charges or commissions will be borne entirely by the user.

 

  1. Lessons

Lessons take place from Monday to Friday, except on national holidays. Lessons missed due to holidays will be made up.

For group courses, if the minimum number of 3 students is not reached, the price of the course will remain unchanged, but the number of hours will be reduced proportionally according to the following table:

  1. Cancellation

Cancellation of enrollment in a course is permitted without penalty if notified at least 15 days before the start date of the course.

In case of cancellation after the 15-day deadline prior to the start date, a penalty equal to 30% of the total cost of the course will be applied. The remaining amount, net of the penalty, will be refunded.

To notify us of your cancellation, please send a written request to info@scuolamessapia.it.

 

All refunds will be made net of bank or postal charges.

 

No refunds will be given after the start of the course, either in the case of irregular attendance or withdrawal. If the user is unable to attend the course due to circumstances beyond their control (bereavement, serious health problems, etc.), the School will consider the possibility of a partial refund or the provision of a voucher that can be used within the following 12 months and can also be used by another person at the user’s discretion.

 

Under no circumstances is it possible to convert group lessons into private lessons.

 

  1. Study visa

Users from countries that require a study visa must contact the relevant authorities in their country of origin. For information on the procedures to follow, please visit esteri.it/visti/.

 

In cases where the user requests a letter of acceptance for the purpose of obtaining a visa for study purposes, the School will request payment of the total cost of the course.

 

If the visa is not obtained, the user must notify the School in writing at least 20 days before the start of the course, attaching a document certifying the refusal by the authorities or, alternatively, all the original documents received by the School.

If the above documentation is received within the above-mentioned terms, the School undertakes to refund the entire amount paid by the user, except for postal and bank charges, the membership fee, and €300 to cover administrative costs.

 

If the School receives notification after the 20-day deadline, it will retain a sum equivalent to 25% of the course cost, net of bank, postal, administrative, and registration fees. If notification of refusal is received more than 7 days after the start of the course, the School will retain a sum equal to 50% of the costs incurred by the user, net of bank, postal, administrative, and registration fees. No refund will be given if notification of visa refusal is received by the School after the start of the course.

If the time taken by the Embassy or Consulate to process the application exceeds the deadline for exercising the right to a refund, the School reserves the right, subject to timely notification by the user, to extend the aforementioned deadline by 20 days.

 

After sending the documents required for the study visa application, it will not be possible to cancel the registration or change the course dates without returning the original documents.

 

Once the study visa has been obtained, no refund will be granted in case of non-attendance of the course and the competent authorities will be informed and requested to cancel the visa. In the event of proven force majeure, the School will consider the possibility of a partial refund or the provision of a voucher that can be used within the following 12 months.

 

  1. Accommodation

The user may request the activation of the accommodation search service upon payment of a non-refundable surcharge of €60 on the cost of the course.

The cancellation and refund policy is established directly by the accommodation provider or by the facilities affiliated with the School. The School undertakes to inform the student of this at the time of booking.

 

  1. Insurance

The School only guarantees insurance coverage within its own facilities. It is therefore advisable to take out insurance before leaving your country of origin.

 

  1. Photos and videos

The School reserves the right to occasionally take videos and photographs for promotional purposes. If the user does not consent to appearing in the School’s advertising and informational material, they are required to give prompt notice.
